One of those lovely old vintage compacts by fifth rex avenue that has been repurposed as a watercolor compact and holds nine EMA handmade watercolors. The selection chosen for this compact are a half tone set ideal for plein air, suburban water sketching and still life’s. It contains yellow mica lt, goldfinch yellow, prairie fire orange, toltec umbre, red bunting warm, violet flame, pine shade, pheasant bg and cornflower lavender. All in a 3 5/16” x 2 1/4” x 1/2” brass compact case. It’s beautiful as an artists desk object.
Painting tip: mix the toltec umbre and cornflower lavender to make a soft black.

I am in love with these colors, and I'm so happy because I've been waiting to purchase from EMA for months. I will have to control myself from making another order too soon, but I will definitely be back! Margot really put a lot of beauty and care into the package.
